Diversity day is also known as World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development officially world-wide. This day is observed by United Nations on May 21 globally. UN sanctioned international holiday to promote diversity issue. The UN General assembly declared this day as a holiday just because of UNESCO’s Universal declaration on cultural diversity on November 2001.
The main aim to observe World Cultural Diversity Day is to help communities, societies and people realize the value of cultural diversity and also learn to live with better coordination together. This day was created in 2001 just because the demolition of the Buddha Statues in Afghanistan.
