Since 2000, every year, World Brain Tumor Day is observed on June 8 globally. Before 2000, this day is observed by German Brain Tumor Association. This Association is a public and non-profit organization which aware and educate people about brain tumor. In Germany, Malignant Brain Tumor is very common and more than 8000 people are suffered from brain tumor. More than 500 new patients are diagnosed with brain tumor every day globally. And number of patient having tumor that cause brain metastases is more than that all over the world. This tumor is found the most in children and it’s a common type of cancer.
What is Brain Tumor?
Brain Tumor means a tumor which occurs when abnormal cells produce within any part of brain. And unnecessary growth of cells which body never require is called a cancer. This growth is occurred on brain as a tumor and that is called brain Tumor. There are mainly 2 types of brain tumor occurs in body. Those are Benign Tumors and Malignant Tumors.
In most common type, primary brain tumor is found in children and adult. Tumors which are occurs in children are grade I or II astrocytoma (or glioma), medulloblastoma, ependymoma, and brain stem glioma. While in adults are meningioma, astrocytoma and oligodendroglioma.
