World AIDS Vaccine Day Observe on May 18

Every years, on 18th May, World AIDS Vaccine Day is observed. It is also known as HIV Vaccine Awareness Day. The main concept of this day is rooted in May 18, 1997 by then-President of USA Bill Clinton at Morgan State University. Clinton suggest the world to focus on science and technology to develop new secure vaccine for AIDS to protect from HIV and also secure to prevent HIV.

After the one year of Clinton’s speech, on May 18, 1998, World AIDS Vaccine Day is started to observe every year. On May 18, every year communities, NGOs and organizations from all over the world hold many more activities on World AIDS Vaccine Day to raise awareness for AIDS Vaccine. They also aware people to prevent from HIV. Also inform about the research of AIDS Vaccine. They also call the Non HIV people and also suggest them for AIDS Vaccine Support and HIV Prevention and guide not to do unsecured activities which cause of HIV.

HIV vaccine supporters mark the day by promoting the continuous crucial need for a vaccine to prevent HIV infection as well as AIDS. They accept and thank the thousands of volunteers, health professionals, community members, supporters and scientists who are working together to find a safe, secure and actual AIDS vaccine. They also request international community to identify the importance of investing in new technologies as a critical part of a full response to the HIV/AIDS.
