International Yoga Day – June 21

21st June is celebrated as an International Yoga Day globally. International day of yoga is also known as an International Yoga Day. United Nations has declared 21st of June as an International Yoga Day on 11th of December in 2014. Yoga in India is considered as an old mental, physical and spiritual practice from the 5000 year ago. Yoga was started in India. In ancient time when people were used of meditation to for their body and mind.

Yoga is very important and beneficial for all the human beings if it is practice on a daily basis in the early morning. Officially this day is known as an UN International Yoga Day. It is celebrated globally.

Narendra Modi, the PM of India also encourage the public. He said that “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It personifies unity of mind and body; restraint and fulfilment; thought and action; harmony between man and nature; a universal approach to health and happiness. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of unanimity with yourself, the nature and the world. By changing our lifestyle as well as creating consciousness, it can help us deal with climate change. Let us work towards adopting an International Yoga Day.”

The celebration of tis day is supported by the various leaders. It is celebrated in a different countries. More than 170 countries are celebrated this day including USA, China, Canada, etc. It is celebrated on an international level. There are celebrated with the different activities like yoga training campus, yoga competitions and so many activities it is celebrated to aware people about the yoga benefit

There is more than 100 different types of yoga most typically yoga are breathing, meditation and assuming postures.

2017 International Yoga Day:

72 students and teachers of Lucknow’s one of the school will be performed yogic exercise at the headquarter of United Nations in New York on the day of world international yoga day of 21st June, 2017.
